Winston Tunnel State Natural Area

Winston Tunnel is the western end of what was the longest railway tunnel in Illinois when it was closed. The tunnel is closed, but there is a trail that leads to the opening. Other hiking is available on unmarked trails, though the rugged terrain can make walking difficult. Hunting is good for deer and turkey, as well as squirrel, rabbit and raccoon.
