Stagecoach Trail

Drive from Galena to Nora. Take a step back in time on this historic route which closely resembles the first regular stage service between Chicago and Galena in 1839. The road comes into Jo Daviess County in Nora and continues through Warren, Apple River, and Scales Mound before ending at Galena’s notable Main Street. This route gets you close to the highest point in Illinois.
