Pine Hills Campground

Located adjacent to the LaRue-Pine Hills-Otter Pond Research Natural Area, Pine Hills Campground offers camping opportunities to those visiting the area. Tent and trailer camping are allowed, but there are no hookups or pull-throughs. The site allows fishing in streams and ponds. Anglers can expect to find largemouth bass, channel catfish, redear sunfish, and bluegill. A two-mile hiking trail, White Pine Trail, leads into the research natural area and connects with Pine Hills Road. Hunting is available and is regulated by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
