Part of Illinois’ "It’s Our River Day,” The Mississippi Earthtones Festival is a celebration of the Mississippi River through art, music, and conservation. Many Broadway businesses will have displays or merchandise on the sidewalk. Vendors and artisans offer nature-inspired and environmentally-friendly wares like alpaca wool items, upcycled jewelry, goat milk and plant based soaps, and nature themed artwork and photography. Educational activities will teach consumers how to incorporate more sustainable practices into their daily lives, including winterizing their homes and conserving water. A great selection of local food and drink will also be available. This event is held annually on the third Saturday of September.
