The Hauberg Estate is a Prairie-style mansion designed by Robert C. Spencer, a contemporary and friend of Frank Lloyd Wright. Spencer is known for blending the more modern Prairie Style with historical elements, particularly half-timbering. Commissioned by Susanne Denkman, the future wife of John Hauberg, the home has 20 rooms, 6 fireplaces, and an accompanying carriage house and garage. A tulip motif can be seen throughout the home and grounds in honor of Susanne’s love of flowers. Tours are available Fridays at 1pm, by appointment, or during special events.
