Hanover Bluff is the first dedicated nature preserve in the driftless area. The diversity of the landscape provides great nature viewing opportunities. The 16-acre Hanover Lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish and is accessible via a mowed path. Hiking is available along unmarked trails, though the topography is very steep, making walking difficult. Hunting is also available with good opportunities for deer, wild turkey, squirrel, and rabbits.
