Frank Holten State Recreation Area

Within view of the St. Louis Gateway Arch, Frank Holten State Recreation Area offers a variety of outdoor fun including picnicking, boating, fishing, hunting, and it is one of only two State Recreation Areas that offer a golf course. The lakes are stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish, there is a 10 horsepower limit for boating. The 18-hole Grand Marais Golf Course is a par 72 that features 6,727 yards from the longest tee. It has a course rating of 71.7 and a slope rating of 126.
