Blanchard Island Recreation Area is a 6.5 acre park with a great view of the Mississippi River that is shaded by mature sycamore, maple, and cottonwood. It offers 15 class B, primitive sites, all with great river views. The boat ramp offers free access to the Blanchard Chute and the main channel of the Mississippi River. It’s an ideal site for bird watching, and anglers will find some of the best catfish holes along the Mississippi, either from the bank or a boat.
