Welcome to the Great River Road in Illinois National Scenic Byway - a 550-mile route along the Mississippi River on Illinois' western border. The byway offers breathtaking views and majestic Midwestern landscapes with glimpses into Illinois' history. The towns and cities along the byway offer attractions, local dining, shopping and outdoor recreation experiences.
